네임텍은 통제와 반복의 굴레에 빠진 현대인들에게 거친 유쾌함을 선사하는 얼터너티브 록 밴드다. 많은 부분이 희석되어 원류를 찾기 힘든 한국 록 씬에서 현재까지도 연원의 공격성과 분노를 담고 있는 팀이며, 이를 유쾌함으로 감싸 청자로 하여금 기분 좋은 일탈을 느끼게 한다.

<아 예>는 이들의 정규 1집 앨범이자 데뷔 앨범이다. 그동안 라이브에서 선보인 네임텍 특유의 에너지를 앨범 전체에 그대로 담으려 노력했다. ‘바니바니’를 포함해 ‘포이즌 애플’, ‘담배 하나만’, ‘수지’, ‘불타는 집’, ‘훌라’ 등 총 10곡 모두 위트 넘치는 가사 그리고 단순하면서도 흡입력 있는 멜로디가 매력이다.
