슈게이즈와 노이즈 락의 혼합을 연주하는 매닉십은 2010년 대만 타이페이에서 결성되었다. 계속해서 장르와 규칙을 바꿔가며 음악을 만들고 있다. 활동을 시작한 이후 국내외로 기대하지 못했던 커다란 관심을 받는데, 2012년에 KYTE (영국), 2014년에 The Album Leaf (미국), 그리고 2015년에 Neon Indian (미국)의 오프닝 무대를 장식하고 SXSW(미국), NXNE(캐나다), CMF(캐나다), Clockenflap(홍콩), Fujirock(일본), MPF (TW) 등 전세계 유명 페스티벌에 섰다.
첫 번째 정규앨범 [Manic Sheep]은 아름다운 슈게이징 사운드와 노이즈 록이 뒤섞여 매닉십의 색깔을 확연하게 보여준다. 이후 전세계로 뻗어나가는 매닉십의 행보를 예견하는 기념비적인 앨범이다.
