Biography

I Mean Us는 2015년 대만에서 결성된 얼터너티브 록 밴드로 현재 대만의 가장 아이코닉한 밴드 중 하나로 주목받고 있다. 그들은 포스트록, 사이키델릭, 슈게이징, 클래식 등 다양한 장르를 조합하여 그들만의 아름답고 신비로운 시그니쳐 사운드를 창조해낸다.

2018년 데뷔 앨범 [OST]를 발매한 후 첫 번째 단독공연을 단숨에 매진시켰고, 이후 SXSW, 잔다리페스타, City Roar 페스티벌 등에 초청되어 아시아와 전세계인들의 관심을 받았다.

2020년 싱글 ‘24 Years Old of You’를 발매한 후 대만의 권위있는 인디음악 시상식인 ‘Golden Indie Music Award’에서 최우수 얼터너티브 싱글 부문을 수상했다. 이제 그들은 2021년 두 번째 정규 앨범 [Into Innerverse]로 새로운 여정을 시작한다.

I Mean Us (IMU) is an alternative rock band formed in 2015 and also one of the most iconic bands from Taiwan nowadays. Its music combines multiple music styles such as Post Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Shoegaze and Classical. I Mean us really creates its signature ethereal, mythical sound.

Back in 2018, I Mean Us released its first debut album 『OST』 and the first show was sold out to over one thousand people immediately. Taking this massive success as a beginning, IMU started their Asia tour and performed in many international music events, including SXSW, Music Matters, Zandari Festa and City Roar Festival.

After its song 『24 Years Old of You』 was awarded as 「Best Alternative single」 by 「Golden Indie Melody Award」, I Mean Us is ready to start a different journey with its brand new album 『Into Innerverse』.
