싱어송라이터 재키는 기억에 있는 어린 시절부터 음악이 자신의 길이라 느끼며 자라났다. 중국에서 중학교를 나오고 미국으로 건너가 버클리 음대를 졸업한 후 한국에서 몇 곡의 싱글을 발표하는 전 과정은 본인의 음악을 탐색하는 여정이 되었다. 수년 전 친구가 우연히 소개한 음악가 ‘에리카 바두(Erykah Badu)’는 재키의 현재와 미래를 영원히 바꿔낸다. 에리카 바두의 음악과 메시지, 철학은 그때까지의 음악 세계를 모두 해체할 만한 충격이었고 이후 그가 추구하게 될 이상성으로 자리 잡는다.

Jacqui’s soundscapes of nu jazz, neo-soul, RnB and pop are offered with an integrity and wisdom beyond her years. With last year’s celebrated ‘White Clouds’ (which appeared on the hit Netflix series My Holo Love) Jacqui has already earned her title as a force to be reckoned with and is growing ever stronger with each release.
