“Mmm”은 사실 “Mama’s Masterpiece”의 약자이다. 여기서 말하는 엄마의 걸작은 바로 나다. 언젠가부터 누군가를 사랑하는 것이 어려워졌다. 내가 원하는 누군가는 나를 원하지 않으며 나를 원하는 누군가에게 의도치 않게 상처를 주는 것을 반복하면서 어느 순간 내가 누군가에게 사랑을 줄 마음의 여유가 사라진 것을 느꼈다. 나의 귀하고 소중한 마음을 주지 않고 늘 짜릿하기만 할 수는 없는 걸까? 그놈의 사랑이 대체 뭐라고! 사랑하면서 사랑하지 않는 척하고, 사랑하지 않으면서 사랑하는 척하고, 모든 걸 수치화해서 재고 승패를 따지고 계산하는 우리는 끔찍하게 우습고 징그럽다.
